Innovative industry

Innovative industry

Industry is vital to the future of Australia.

Our portfolio delivers a range of information and a number of Government initiatives and activities in relation to industry and how it benefits the Australian community.

Buy Australian at Home and Abroad

3d image of AustraliaAustralian suppliers will have a better chance of benefiting from the nation’s major resources projects, through a $34.4 million Buy Australian at Home and Abroad initiative.

Major resources projects provide significant opportunities for Australian suppliers. Unfortunately, some suppliers are missing out because of established global vendor lists and the trend towards pre assembled modules.

The Government has listened to industry’s concerns, with this funding seeking to maximise the returns from the mining boom by more effectively linking Australian suppliers to Australian projects.
